This 2012 Special Edition Fender Telecaster is rare and essentially unplayed.

It comes with the Fender wide range pickups that polarised Fender buyers when they were first launched back in the 70's. It was Fender's strategy at the time to launch a guitar that would compete with Gibson for their humbucker guitar market. Whilst it never did sway much of the Gibson camp to move to a Telecaster it found an entirely new market of buyers who loved the Fender scale length and Tele style without having to re-route their single coil guitars.

Some say the wide range pickups lack definition. At Tone Masters - our humble opinion is - they sound great. They have a unique tonality, and given this Deluxe model, provides you with a seperate volume and tone control for each pickup, also immense variety.

This guitar however didn't need to spend too long on the work bench. A quick set up, fret polish and intonation adjustment and it was ready to plug in.

The Special Edition/Signature range of guitars out of Mexico have, for many years, proven to be extremely well built at a fantastic price point. In our opinion it plays well above it's price point.

As with any 72 reissue it has the dual string trees & 70's headstock, a lovely modern C shape neck, 3 bolt neck plate (with the old F logo) and 'vintage' bridge.
